Ravi Teja is one person who is very particular about his remuneration. He has been reportedly demanding Rs 10 crore towards his remuneration. Now, his films are able to get around Rs 25 crore. Giving Rs 10 crore for a Rs 25 crore is bad business and that is the reason why most producers, who wanted to make films with Ravi Teja, are backing off.
So, he has now given another offer to the producers. If they do not want to give Rs 10 crore, he will forego the remuneration completely. But, in lieu, the producers have to sell the digital, satellite and Hindi satellite dubbing rights. His dubbing rights are worth around Rs 8 crore and the total worth of dubbing, satellite and other rights are around Rs 15 crore.
So, the producers have to decide whether they will give Rs 10 crore or pay Rs 15 crore. Isn’t this a classic case of Hobson’s choice?
